What data do we process when you visit the website?

This website uses no cookies and embeds no external services. Neither Google Analytics nor any other tracking or analytics service is used. Fonts, scripts and stylesheets are loaded exclusively from our own server.

When pages are accessed, technically necessary access data is processed in server log files (e.g. IP address, date and time, page requested, volume of data transferred, browser type), as with any web server. This processing serves the provision and security of our offering on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest). Log data is stored for a short period and then deleted.

Contact form and enquiries

If you contact us via the contact form, by e-mail or by phone, we process the data you provide (in particular name, e-mail address, subject and your message) in order to handle and respond to your enquiry.

The legal basis is — where your enquiry is aimed at concluding or performing a contract — Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR; otherwise our legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, or your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Confirming the privacy notice in the form documents your consent to processing for the purpose of contacting us.

To protect against automated abuse (spam), we use a simple server-side arithmetic challenge and a hidden form field. No personal data is transmitted to third parties and no cookies are set in the process.

How long is your data stored?

We store your personal data only for as long as necessary for the stated purposes — for enquiries, until they have been conclusively processed. Statutory retention obligations (e.g. under commercial or tax law) remain unaffected; these generally amount to six to ten years. After that, the data is deleted.

Who receives your data?

Within CaRD, only those departments that need your data to process your enquiry (e.g. sales and commercial administration) have access to it. Data is not passed on to third parties unless we are legally obliged to do so.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have, in particular, the following rights:

To exercise your rights, a message to datens@card.de is sufficient. You may withdraw any consent given at any time with effect for the future. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR).

What data do our products process?

Our products (add-ons) do not store any files, metadata or lists. They process only URLs and encrypted user data to the extent required for operation.
